Rescue Success Stories

Sandy (formerly known as Digger) found himself at the tender age of 8 months in an Iowa humane society. He wallowed there for several months until Playing Again Sams found him on the petfinder list in June of 2000. We felt he looked enough like a samoyed to claim him as one. He was pulled by a volunteer in Garnavillo, IA and fostered for almost an entire year until 8 yo Boo found him. She had at her young age researched several dog breeds, had twisted dad's arm, and decided that the samoyed was only breed that would do. Boo, and her family, adopted Sandy in March of 2001 and Boo has become his primary handler. They have been through obedience and will soon start an agility career. Watch out for the junior handler - she is terrific!!
