Rescue Success Stories

Ben within days of arriving in his new home in Alaska.

Ben, estimated to be under 2, was picked up as a stray in Rockford, IL. He was considered very adoptable until they found out he had heartworm; they were going to euthanize him. He was pulled from the shelter, and part of his heartworm treatment was donated by a vet in Marseilles, IL. He was fostered and recuperated in Milwaukee for three months until Helen Marrs from Alaska found him on the Samoyed Rescue Page. Within days he made the long flight from Chicago to Anchorage in early December 1997. The rest is history.
